Central PD Approval
Quality assurance, before the catalog.
High-quality professional development is a key part of raising teacher effectiveness. A structured approval process makes sure the fundamentals are there before an event reaches anyone.
How approval works
- Sponsors submit the required event detail through the web — a paperless application, not a form to print.
- The approver can go back and forth with the sponsor inside the system until it is approved or declined.
- Approved courses, workshops, regional meetings and conferences post automatically, in real time, to the shared catalog.
- Only pre-authorized sponsor administrators can submit, so the process stays controlled.
- An approval fee can be collected by card at submission, where that is appropriate.
What educators get
Any educator can browse everything on offer locally or regionally, then drill through to the sponsor’s own site to register. Events can be viewed by interest or job area, by subject, category, location, calendar or credit type.
Which means less overhead for everyone: fewer phone calls chasing information, no printed catalog, and PD whose quality and type the consortium can actually guide.
